I would like to say “Thank You” for an Extraordinary Class that you and your wife held on January 12th, 2019. It was very informative and you kept it interesting. I have taken other classes in past years and yours simply outdid them. Safety was very evident the entire day and the detail that was given will be carried a lifetime. Your class has definitely taught me valuable knowledge.

Recently attended the” Concealed Carry Class” instructed by Randy Mabe. The course was conducted in a highly professional manner. Safety was stressed both in the classroom and firing range. Randy covers all aspects of the NC gun laws that apply to conceal carry. His outgoing personality makes the class more interesting. He uses a hand on approach to show the details of hand placement on the weapon as well as shooting stance. You leave the class feeling more confident in yourself and more knowledgeable about when to use your hand gun. Randy uses real life scenarios to get his points across. Randy is assisted by his wife. I had the privilege of attending Randy Mabe’s Concealed Carry course. I don’t think I have ever been that captivated learning something as I was that day. First of all, Randy has the perfect set up for taking the course. You’re in a gun environment, sitting a beautiful log cabin Surrounded by all kinds of hunting trophy mounts on the walls. There are snacks and drinks, restroom facilities, all overlooking the pond out back. The range itself is behind the cabin… a great set up!
Randy covers everything!! Safe handling of your gun, how the guns operate, the difference between a semi-automatic and a revolver. How you need to hold them for safe use as to not get pinched, cut, or burned ( revolver ). He shows you a variety of videos showing what can happen to even a seasoned professional with years of experience. Very entertaining and very EYE opening!!
Then he gets into the legal aspects of it!! Let’s put it this way, if you think you’re a nice person now. You put on a hand gun and you had better become 10 times more of that nice person than before. I’ll just say this, YOU DO NOT WANT TO EVER SHOOT SOMEONE UNLESS ABOSUTLY NESSESARY!!!!I have one more thing to say. The shooting part is a blast, with a treat at the end… and I’m not telling. If you are interested in getting your carry permit, I would recommend Randy Mabe! There can’t be many better than Randy.

Jane and I really enjoyed the class we took on Friday, March 11. Thank you for being so informative and thorough in the class. You made it interesting and easy to understand everything. We certainly would recommend anyone to take this class from you. Also we appreciate your patience in actually learning to use the guns.
I was looking for a place to take my wife to take her CCH certification class. She is a novice handgun shooter at this point so I was looking for someone who conducted classes with a limited number of students that could take a little more time with a novice student and make her feel comfortable. Randy and Karen Mabe who own and operate Fire Arms Man LLC fit the bill. They ran a top notch class which was both fun and informative. They adapted their teaching style/method to the folks in the class and made an ordinarily long 8 hour day into fun for everyone. They are professional but personable, safety oriented, and all around good instructors. I would highly recommend them to anyone from a complete novice like my wife to someone that has shot their entire life and are completely proficient with a firearm.
Karen and Randy make an excellent teaching team. Our class makeup ranged from very experienced pistol owners to people like me who had little to no experience and included both men and women. Randy is great at mixing the mandated core curriculum with real world practical advice and application and kept the class moving at a good pace. I loved that Karen was able to provide a women’s perspective on everything from trigger pull, hand strength, and confidence to conceal carry accessories. Everyone received individual instruction during the practical target portion of the class, no one was rushed and it was a very positive experience. I left this class with a good foundation, an understanding of the importance of safety above all else, a list of resources for further development, and the desire and confidence to continue to practice to improve my sighting and shooting skills. I now own my own pistol and my husband is thrilled with his new shooting partner!
One-on-one assistance gladly given if needed. Randy encourages class discussions, keeping everyone’s attention. We learned some vital information necessary to protect our family. Time well spent!
When I attended the conceal weapon class, I did not know what to expect. I was naive as to all the laws and seriousness of receiving the privilege of being approved to carry a weapon. The instructor was very thorough and made sure I understood the laws and met the requirements of the class to be able apply for a permit. Being a single person and living alone, I now feel more secure in protecting myself from possible intruders.
